Level 3 Ambulance Support Worker Apprenticeships

The Ambulance Support worker apprenticeship programme is delivered via 2 main routes. The Ambulance Care Assistant route or the Emergency Care Assistant route. Basegreen tailors the programme to your organisational needs, undertaking skills scans of the apprentice to ensure that the programme is right both for the apprentice and the employer.
Through a classroom delivery phase (either at our centres or your facility) the learners undertake a clinical component and driver training ensuring compliance for your contractual needs. Visits are then completed (either face to face or virtually) to consolidate, stretch and challenge the knowledge to and ensure that skills and behaviours relating to the standard are embedded.

Ambulance Care Assistant Pathway

During this apprenticeship programme, Learners undertake The Patient Care Services: Non-Urgent Care qualification is designed for those who would like to begin, or advance, their career in an ambulance environment to support registered and non-registered healthcare professionals. The apprentice will also complete through this route a non emergency driving qualification.

Emergency Care Assistant Pathway

Emergency Care Assistants have 2 routes to the Level 3 ASW programme. The Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support (RQF) qualification or Learners may choose to undertake the Level 3 Certificate in Ambulance Patient Care: Urgent Care Services. The learner will also complete a L3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD)
